I guess I'm wondering if the update will solve problems or just cause more problems to occur.
Will I run into problems if I manually download the update version and then try to install that? Or should I just ignore the problem with SoundTrax, it's just a minor inconvenience, but annoying all the same?Īny advice would be appreciated. I ran the General Clean Tool and reinstalled the version I have.
After restarting, however, the update failed and the previous version of Nero was no longer on my computer. It informed me that it would have to uninstall the version I have first, then restart and carry on with the update. I thought I would try to update Nero 8 to version 8.3.13.0a from within the Nero program. I could click on the npf file and everything would open in SoundTrax and I could edit one side of the LP at a time by clicking on each track and it would open in Wave Editor. This never happened with the Nero 6 version I have on a computer running XP Pro. Thus the only way I can edit the wav file is to open it with Wave Editor. If I run the program to convert and LP to CD, but instead of burning it to a CD I save the conversion as the default npf file so I can open it at another time in SoundTrax and do more editing with Wave Editor by double-clicking on each track in SoundTrax, the SoundTrax program opens but doesn't insert the wav file. I did come across one problem with Nero SoundTrax, which I hope someone can solve. The various components are slow to open, however, which is probably because of Vista. When creating an Audio CD, Nero Burning ROM encountered problems when adding an ISRC code to an audio file.I installed the Nero 8 Ultra Version on my computer (Vista 32, home premium) and took the precautions as suggested by Richard.
